Foundation Mares

JR Patricia (deceased), grey mare by Gai Torero X Asil Prophesy (Asil Zealot). This lovely mare with a heavy *Raffles pedigree was by a Gainey stallion out of an Alice Payne mare. She gave us eleven foals by seven stallions, nearly all of whom were exceptional. JR Primrose, with many halter championships, heads the list. JR Waytogo (pictured left) won four Reserve Championships, one Championship and Region Eighteen Top Five Gelding at two years. JR Percival by Caryzar is a consistent winner in performance. JR Phaedra was a lovely harness horse and won in Park Horse with Carmelle Rooker. JR Penelope was a performance champion and is producing perfromance champions of her own.

JR Clarice, Deceased, bay mare by Asil Apogee X Clea (Shalimar Gillette). Dam of ten foals, Clarice is now retired. She is three quarters *Raffles blood and one fourth Crabbet stock from the Kellogg Ranch. One of Clarice's daughters is in the show string. JR Cassandra, by Whamm, is a Champion in hunter classes for granddaughter Christina Geuns. JR Caprice, full sister to Cicero, was an AHAM Futurity winner before joining the broodmare band. She is dam of JR Claudette, Christina's Country English Pleasure mount.

JR Caprice, Deceased, bay mare, 1989, by The Tsensation x JR Clarice (Asil Apogee). Caprice was shown very little as we were busy campaingning JR Primrose. She won her class at the AHAM Futurity at two years of age. Caprice is dam of JR Claudette, Champion Country English Pleasure of granddaughter Christina Geuns. We sold her pretty bay gelding JR Charlie, by AA Apollo Bey, to Dan Cross of London, Ontario. Charlie has begun to earn championships this year for Dan's daughter Laura. Caprice's 2001 filly, JR Claudia by Apollopalooza, has been sold to Julie Kosik Shick, who will show her in 2005. We still have Caprice's 2002 gelding, JR Challenger and her 2004 colt, both by Apollopalooza.

JR Primrose, grey mare, 1987 by The Tsensation x JR Patricia (Gai Torero). Primmy is a gorgeous creature, and has produced two pretty fillies by Apollopalooza, Carmelle Rooker's 2002 US National Champion Park Horse. The 2001 filly is JR Briar Rose, and is grey. Kenny and Janet are working her under saddle, getting her ready to show in 2005. Primmy's 2002 filly is bay with her dam's lovely head. Primrose is in foal to AA Apollo Bey for 2005.

Arsonist out of JR Penelope

JR Penelope, grey mare, 1988 by The Tsensation x JR Particia (Gai Torero). Penelope was a champion herself in English Pleasure Junior Horse, English Pleasure and English Pleasure Amateur Owner. She was also a winner in Liberty classes. Penelope is dam of Oh Bey B, US National Champion Country Pleasure Junior Horse in 1997 and Canadian Reserve National Champion Country Pleasure Junior Horse in 1997. Her 1997 gelding FC Arsonist (pictured left) owned by Janet Rooker-Johnston has been attracting attention and winning Championships and Reserve Championships at the shows. Her 1999 gelding FC Plutonium went to the U.S. Nationals with nephew Shawn Rooker and was named Top Ten in English Pleasure Junior Horse. Pluto and Penelope's 2001 filly JR Prophecy (sold to Mike Latham) are full brother and sister to Oh Bey B by AA Apollo Bey. Penelope had a sharp grey filly by Apollopalooza in 2003. She is back in foal to AA Apollo Bey for 2005.

Yermeh Talitha, bay mare, 1988, by Gay Laddinn x Yermeh Tanjeri (Barnaby). Three quarters Polish with *Raffles and *Raseyn on her dam's side, Talitha is know for her great trot, long neck and good tail carriage. Daughter Janet has a stylish chestnut gelding out of Talitha, FC Shockwave (by Matoi), ready to hit the ring. We sold her hot two-year-old colt by Apollopalooza to Mike Latham. We still have her yearling filly and a great 2003 colt, both by Apollopalooza.

Matariaelle Girl, chestnut mare, 1990, by Zodiac Matador x Ariaelle (Ariston). Mattie had a very showy chestnut colt by Apollopalooza in 2004 for Janet and David. She is back in foal to him for us. Mattie has an impressive record under saddle. She was Top Five in both Region 13 and Region 14 English Pleasure. Mattie was Chapion in English Pleasure, and Reserve Champion in English Pleasure Amateur Owner.

JR Phylicia, Grey mare, 1991, by The Tsensation x JR Patricia (Gai Torero). The third of three full sisters, Phylicia went directly into the breeding herd. She has had JR Petra by Caryzar, JR Octavius by *Opalo, and JR Felicity by Apollopalooza. Phylicia's 2003 filly by Apollopalooza is black at present and full of personality.

JR Pomona, grey mare, 1994, by AA Apollo Bey x JR Patricia (Gai Torero). A lovely white mare with a pretty head and a long, fine neck, Pomona is a recent addition to the breeding herd. She has been a Champion in English Pleasure Amateur Owner Classes and in Show Hack. Jim has begun riding again and has chosen Pomona for his mount.

JR Rosemary , bay mare, 2002, by Apollopalooza x JR Primrose (The Tsensation). Rosemary is a bay replica of her dam with the same lovely head and way of moving. She will go to work now that fall has come.

JR Colleen , bay mare, 2003, by Apollopalooza x JR Cassandra (Whamm). Colleen is a pretty bay filly with a good head and long neck. She will make a good replacement for her dam.

JR Phantasy, grey mare, 2003, by Apollopalooza x JR Phylicia (The Tsensation). After a year, we have finally found a very few grey hairs on this black filly's face and neck, so we think she will turn grey eventually. In the meantime she is very striking with a very long neck and a short typy head.

JR Patrice, grey mare, 2003, by Apollopalooza x JR Penelope (The Tsensation). Patrice already displays Penelope's excellent trot. Patrice has a good head and very fine neck. She is a three-quarter sister to Oh Bey B and FC Plutonium and should be an excellect performance horse.

JR Cassandra, bay mare, 1993 by Whamm x JR Clarice (Asil Apogee). This mare has the sweetest temperament, and is a lovely entrant in the hunter classes for Christina. She showed Cassandra in open and junior exhibitor classes in 1998 through 2000 very successfully. Last year Cassandra had her first foal, a chestnut colt by Apollopalooza. He is very upright with great tail carriage. Her 2003 foal is a pretty bay filly with a very fancy head by Apollopalooza.

JR Palmyra, grey mare, 1995 by AA Apollo Bey x JR Patricia (Gai Torero). Palmyra is a pretty mare with a good trot. We have shown her only lightly, but she has blue ribbons in English Pleasure and in Coutnry English Pleasure. She should be a superb brood mare. Her dam produced seven chapions for us. Nancy has chosen Palmyra to ride.
